First Impressions

I would love to give you a little tour into some of the first things we saw when we walked through the house.  There were things that I immediately knew I loved.  SPACE.  Openness.  2-story family room.  Master bedroom downstairs.  Open family room/kitchen concept.

Now, I don’t know what kind of person you are- the one who looks at a room and can’t envision a single thing changing or the type who stands there smiling because they see exactly what they want to do with it. I am definitely the latter. Things like clutter, or paint color, or window treatments that might not be my style do not stop me in my tracks!

Ok, here we go.  (Disclaimer: most of these photos are with the previous owners’ things still in the house.  But some shots I did not get until they  moved out.)

Here’s what we saw when we first walked through the front door.  The stairs on the left lead up to second floor.  Straight ahead is the family room.IMG_2709On the left right before the stairs was the living room.IMG_2699To the right was the dining room.IMG_2708Right before you got to the family room was the entryway to the master bedroom.IMG_2710Through that nice little arch was the master bedroom. bedroomAnd then my favorite room of all.  The master bathroom.  Fully equipped with green carpet (yes, I said GREEN CARPET).  And wallpaper. Lots of wallpaper. Not necessarily to my taste, but everything was clean and the countertops and cabinets were in great shape.bathroomIMG_2700IMG_2704IMG_2701This is a picture of the family room from above (it’s an open second story).  I wish I had a few more good ones from our first visit when it was furnished, but I didn’t, so I’ll also include one from when it was emptyfamily roomIMG_3708The family room led to the a breakfast area that wraps around to the kitchen. Do you see all of those windows? I sure did! It was a huge selling point for me on the house.  I can’t get enough windows and outside light!IMG_3709Here was kitchen looking into the family room.IMG_3220And then some shots of the kitchen.  The kitchen empties into the laundry room.IMG_3221IMG_3218IMG_2713One of the last things we saw downstairs was this fancy little butler’s pantry. It’s in the hallway from kitchen to dining room.IMG_2714There was also a half bathroom downstairs in the main hallway.IMG_3224That’s it for the downstairs.  Next up, second story!
