The second story of the house has a little bit more room than we were really needing. One of its major perks is a separate guest bedroom with its own bathroom just up the main stairs to your left. We’ve always loved having extra space for someone who needs a place to stay for a weekend, or a few weeks, and this room has given us even more opportunities for this. It’s gotten so much use in the past year and a half by our family, friends, and a few of our foster kids.
Here’s what the guest room looked like when we first saw the house. It’s a huge room, but I envisioned a different layout once we moved into the space. (Also, they used a huge canvas as their headboard, that you will later see re-purposed!)
And here was the guest bathroom. Again, in great condition.
Another huge perk to this house — CLOSET SPACE! Wahoo! This was the closet in the guest room, which also had a large access to attic space in the back right corner.
At the top of the stairs, if you turn right, you get to all of the other rooms. Here’s what we found when we first visited.
First up, was a room on the left that they used mostly for storage. It’s now the boys’ bedroom. This room also had a big walk in closet.
Not much to see here, but this next room at the end of the hallway would be Addy’s room and closet.
Then to the right was the hall bathroom (now the kids’ bathroom).

Lastly, just past the bathroom on the right was a two-part bonus room. Here was the first part of the room.
This room led into a bigger, open playroom (finished attic space) which came fully equipped with a pool table, mini-fridge, and New York City skyline wallpaper. The kids thought it was the coolest room ever!

And that’s a wrap on the upstairs when we moved in!
