Boys’ bedroom. Check.

Another project done! Wahoo! I’ve said this before, but most of the stuff I post about isn’t real time. I finished the boys’ room a good while ago (well, besides a little tweaking here and there), and am just writing about it now. (Lest you think I am superwoman and can knock out a project this big in a week. Not so much.)

Earlier this week I shared about beginning the built ins and then about an easy desk I built for the boys. Today, you get the finished project. Are you excited? I am.

Progress.And FINISHED!Here are some of my favorite things about this room.

The hanging lights. These really added the perfect finishing touch to the room. I hung them with an eye hook, hot glued the cord into the corner, and painted it white so it disappears into the corner. It plugs in back behind the bed. (All the sources are at the bottom of the page if you’re interested.)
I love this checked bedding! (And the bear! Thanks, Auntie Beth). Very affordable. Goes through the wash easily. And super soft.These picture holders are constantly getting changed out and filled up!Their names! This is just a thick 2×4 painted black, with unfinished letters hot glued to the wood. It looks even better in person.These prints! They are a newer addition to the room, but man, am I in love. ALL THE BOOKS! The boys love reading and were finally able to put their books on “their own shelves!”The desk area turned out really great too! I love the cork board!Also, this print. I made it for their room and just love it.One last thing we still need to replace. The fan. No explanation needed 😉
