We’ve been outside a lot lately and I was thinking the other day that I’ve posted a lot of pictures of our house from the inside, but never really anything from the outside. So here’s a quick post for you on the exterior.

Here are a few pictures we have of the house before we moved in.

Jason said when we were looking for a house that he wanted at least one big tree.  So, you can imagine his excitement when he saw this house. We took out a few trees when we moved in and had the canopy raised.  Side bar: if you live in the area and are looking for a tree guy, I’ve got your guy!

Also, clearly we are from South Florida WHERE THE TREES ARE GREEN YEAR ROUND when we said we were excited about so many trees. They are beautiful and give great shade for the kids, but they are a TON of work come fall!We really liked the color of our previous house and happened to have an old siding panel in our garage.  So when we were having this one painted, we just had the color matched. We’ve worked hard cleaning up the yard and getting some grass to grow for the past 2 years. If you’re in the area and need a company to treat your lawn, we have finally found our guy! Thanks to Phil over at Planet Green, our lawn is looking AWESOME. (And thanks to my man who mows and edges like a champ too!) We’ve gradually taken out bushes and put smaller, more manageable ones in (or just added grass since it LOOKS SO GOOD!).

We also got a new roof about a year ago courtesy of a hail storm. Last, for those of you who have little climbers, you’ll notice the ninja line in the front yard. Endless entertainment.
