Breakfast Room Makeover

I’ve really enjoyed helping my buddy do a bunch of work in her new home!

I’m loving the way her breakfast room is turning out! The previous owners had fun floral valances, but she wanted to change them out for something more neutral. Here’s the room from when she first moved in.F012CDE9-B07F-448D-A051-16EB8F8A3B7BI recommended changing from a valance to these floor-length curtains from Target.Screen Shot 2018-07-03 at 4.30.43 PMHere’s a shot from when she first hung them885AD3E9-CB41-404A-B7D7-69B44B7FBCE2You’ll see there’s lots of space between the top of the window and the ceiling, so we raised the curtain rods and set the curtains outside the windows.  This makes any room look much bigger and taller. Be on the lookout – I’ve got a post coming your way soon with ALL the how-tos (and the what-NOT-to-dos) of hanging curtains.

We chose a new table and chairs and the room is really looking great!
