Workspace for a friend

I’m so excited to share this post from one of my buddy’s houses! I’ve been talking with her about changing her dining room into a kids’ workspace for over a year now. And it was time to bite the bullet. This is how the room looked before we started… GREAT dining space… that sat mostly untouched aside from a handful of times throughout the year.

Like a lot of people, she was all like, “Where do I start?!” So I went over for an hour long consultation and put together this plan for her. (caveat: all you see below is a picture with a bunch of ideas, but she got a giant google doc with alllllll the purchase links to make it happen!)

After I sent everything to her, she sent a text back within a day saying she had ORDERED IT ALLL!!! (glad she trusts me!) For the next 2 weeks, she sent me texts with pictures like the ones below. Chair rail came down. Walls got painted. Lighting changed.

PROGRESS, right?! Note: I didn’t do any of the actual work (painting, built-ins, etc). I just came up with the plan and she had a handyman that followed it step by step.

I did end up going back once it was all finished to help decorate and get things in place. I also snapped a few pictures while I was there that I am pumped to share!

I mean, how great did this turn out?!?!? I hope you love it as much as she does (and I DO!). If you’re interested in getting some design help, please reach out! I would love to schedule a consultation!
